Interessante Statistik zu den Honeypot Opfern

Hier kann man mal sehen, wer sich so im letzten Monat am Honigtopf hat erwischen lassen und wie oft.

Nach einer ersten Welle ist diese schlagartig zum erliegen gekommen! Grund: ich war mal so frech und habe über die WhoIs-Abfrage den eigentlich Hoster dieser Seite bzw IP angeschrieben, mit dem Inhalt des Spam-Beitrags nebst der IP mit Datum, Uhrzeit und allem Drum und Dran. Wenige Stunden später verebbte die Spam-Welle gänzlich. Es gab noch 2 Kandidaten, die sich, der eine mehr, der andere weniger, aufdringlich am Honigtopf zu schaffen machten. Einer innerhalb eines Tages sage und schreibe 8x, der andere ein bescheidenes Mal. Dann war Ruhe im Kartong!

Das bringt mich zu dem Schluß, daß es offensichtlich doch sehr effektiv ist, die IPs und alle anfallenden Daten erstmal zu speichern, um sich dann damit an die nächsthöhere Stelle zu wenden. Für die Webspace Hoster, auf denen wohl die diese Spambots laufen, ist das sicher keine gute Werbung, wenn sie des Öfteren Spam-Reports empfangen. Die werden sicher drastische Schritte einleiten. Das würde ich jedenfalls tun...

Habt ihr da weitergehende Erfahrungen damit? Habt ihr Ähnliches durch? Ich freu mich auf Eure Kommentare! :)
